The Servite Order was founded in 1233 in Florence Italy by seven Florentine merchants who would later be known as the Seven Holy founders of our Order.

The Servite Order first arrived here in Western Australia in 1951 and shortly after began serving the Church in Perth in the Parishes of St. Denis Joondanna, and St. Anthony’s Parish Wanneroo. Over the last 70 years a total of 63 friars have served in these two Parishes as well as other parishes and ministries in the Archdiocese of Perth and the Archdiocese Melbourne. In 1958 we established our College in Tuart Hill which was originally named St Philip’s High school for Boys and later in 1974 was renamed Servite College.
